Wadsworth City Council is looking at placing an EMS levy before the voters in 2017.
At their last meeting, City Council members looked at three possible options and asked Medina County Auditor Mike Kovack’s office to determine the amount of tax money each option would provide.
The first option is to renew the current 2.3-mill levy. The second option is to renew the 2.3-mill levy currently in effect and ad .2-mills on to it. The third option is to place a 2.3-mill replacement levy on the ballot.
The straight renewal levy would continue the same amount of tax money EMS receives. The other two levy options would provide for additional tax monies.
It is not known how long it will take the Medina County Auditor’s office to finish their work. After Wadsworth City Council receives that report, it is expected they will choose one of those three options to place before the voters.
