Congratulations to the Wadsworth Girls Varsity Golf Team.
For the first time, the Girls won the Suburban League National Conference Championship at Barberton Brookside Country Club.
Wadsworth Sophomore Secilia Ho won medalist honors by shooting an 81. Senior co-captain Meggie Flanigan shot an 87 to finish fourth overall. Junior Alanna Knight shot 94. Junior Emily Dennison and senior Jenna Peters each shot 98.
Wadsworth’s team total of 360 was five shot better than Brecksville-Broadview Heights. North Royalton finished third at 368. The Lady Grizzlies were undefeated in the dual match portion of the season to claim the Championship.
Ho was named first-team all-conference and National Conference Player of the Year. Flanigan and Peters were named to the second team and Knight was named honorable mention.
