It’s been a long time in coming, but the ribbon was finally cut on Friday to signify the official opening of the two-mile long Inner-Urban Trail and Trolley Line Park in Wadsworth.

The ribbon was cut at the new park off Silvercrest during the noon hour. The event also gave the Friends of the Wadsworth Trail a chance to show off the refurbished Trail House.

This afternoon, another ribbon cutting ceremony will be held next to the Subway Restaurant on Main Street in Downtown Wadsworth. That’s where the Inner Urban Trail begins.

The process to make the Trail and the Park a reality began over two years ago. A State Grant paid the majority of the cost for the trail.
