Wadsworth Grizzly pawThe Wadsworth Varsity Boys baseball team kept the bats rolling on Monday as they defeated Revere 15-0 in a Suburban League match-up. The game was a run-rule contest called after four-and-a-half innings.

The Grizzlies had 10 hits to improve their record to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Suburban League.
Wadsworth scored a single run in the second, nine runs in the third and five more in the fourth.

Among the hitting stars for the Grizzlies were center fielder A.J. Robinson who had two singles, a double, two runs scored and four runs batted in. Third basemen Wil Rock had two singles, two runs scored and an RBI.

Pitcher Nick Bebout allowed only one hit in five innings to pick up the victory.

In four-games this season, the Wadsworth baseball team has scored 40 runs. They have allowed only seven runs to be scored against them Grizzly pitchers have tossed two shutouts.

The teams complete their two-game series this afternoon at Revere High School beginning at 4:30.

SOFTBALL:
The Wadsworth Girls softball team had their bats working, collecting 11 hits as they defeated Cloverleaf 12-7. The Lady Grizzlies put 7 runs on the board in the third, a single run in the fourth and four more in the fifth to get the win. Wadsworth is now 2-2 on the season.

This afternoon, Wadsworth will play host to Green in a Suburban League Game. First pitch is at 4:30.

BOYS TENNIS:
The Boys tennis match against Highland Monday afternoon was canceled.
