Wadsworth Community Radio

The philosopher Lao Tzu said it best: “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

Well, Wadsworth Community Radio has just laced up its sneakers!

Our radio station has been a work-in-progress, indeed.  After spending the first several months simply streaming our cool hybrid-mix of classic hits and other assorted goodies, we took a few more steps and debuted ‘Matt and Tina in the Morning’ on February 9th.  Since then, we’ve had a cavalcade of guests visit our studio in the form of teachers, political figures, business-owners, and musicians.

We added another step when we filled out some of our weekend programming with both the shows Sonic Bliss and Wadsworth: Past, Present, Future.

Are we ready to ‘run’?  Not quite.  In addition to streaming our signal, though, we’ve also partnered with Wadsworth Community Television so that our audio can be heard via channel 18.  On tap next?  The introduction of our FM broadcast at 97.1 on the dial.  We’re close.  Very close.

But, we’ve taken a step.  Several of them, actually.  And we’re hoping that you’ll come along on the journey with us.  If it’s about ‘Wadsworth’, we’ll do our best to cover it, talk about it, and celebrate it.

Yes, Wadsworth has its own radio station.  And we’re putting one foot in front of the other.  Are you ready to join us?
