The Wadsworth Boys Track and Field team is on a roll. For the fourth consecutive year, the Grizzlies won the Suburban League’s National Conference Track Championship.
Wadsworth finished the two-day competition at Nordonia High School with 158 points. Brecksville-Broadview Heights finished second with 98.
Wadsworth sprinter Andrew Robinson had a big meet for the Grizzlies, winning the 100 and 200 plus participating in the 400 and 800 relays. Ben Arnold and Mitchell Blackburn ran in both the 400 and 800. Lucas Mills ran in the 400 and Josiah Sovine ran in the 800.
In the distance races, Nick Miller won the 800 and 1600. Wadsworth also won the 3200 relay with Miller, Sovine, Kai Wagner and Gabe Szalay each running a leg.
Wadsworth track coach Chris Beery feels that his team is peaking for the State track and field championships at the right time.
