The city of Wadsworth is now in line with state statutes concerning the “Move Over Law”.

At its November 20TH meeting, Members of Wadsworth City Council unanimously approved a measure that requires motorists when driving on a road with multiple lanes in the same direction to ‘Move Over’ one lane when approaching a vehicle with flashing or rotating lights while parked on the side of a road.

If a lane change is not possible, motorists are required to slow down. The law was originally passed by the State Legislature back in 1999 to protect highway workers, police officers and firefighters.
