With hot cocoa and cookies served by personal chefs, riders will hear the Polar Express story told by elves on their train ride to the North Pole and back to pick up Santa. Elves will also sing Christmas carols with riders and spread holiday cheer.
It’s a trip that will enliven your Christmas spirit, just as it did for the boy in the film and book.
The Polar Express will run from November 13 through December 20. It leaves from the Rockside Station in Independence and the Akron Northside Station at 7 p.m. and returns around 9 p.m.
Tickets for the Polar Express start at $45 per person, ages one and up, for standard seating. An upgraded ticket will cost between $65 – $85 each. A $2 processing fee per ticket also applies.
“CVSR looks forward to another exciting season of the Polar Express. The countless hours put in by elves, Santa and staff are rewarded in the expressions on children’s faces. We feel honored to be able to bring this program to Northeast Ohio,” said Steve Wait, President and CEO of the railroad in a news release.
In addition, you can bring a winter coat, hat, scarf and/or gloves with you to donate for local charities during the Polar Express season. Each donation will make a difference in someone’s life by helping give them warmth this holiday season.
