Wadsworth Grizzly pawThe Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies are headed to the Division One Regional Basketball Tournament.

In a game heard live on Wadsworth Community Radio last night, the Lady Grizzlies beat Berea-Midpark 80-50 to win the Medina District Tournament. It was the third victory in a row in the state tournament.

A 12-0 run by the Lady Grizzlies to close out the third quarter and to start the fourth sealed the game for Wadsworth.

The next action for the Lady Grizzlies will be on Tuesday night March First when they will play Magnificat at North Royalton High School. Game time will be 7 o’clock.

Wadsworth and Magnificat have already played once this season, in the final of the Believe Roundball Classic at Wadsworth High School. The Lady Grizzlies defeated Magnificat that night at Wadsworth High School 47-29.

Wadsworth’s record this season is 24 wins and one loss. Berea-Midpark ends their season with a record of 18-7.
