Wadsworth Grizzly pawThe Wadsworth Wrestling team will have two wrestlers battling for Division One State Individual Championships Saturday at Ohio State University.

Noah Baughman (120) and Joey Baughman (160) are in the championship finals. Noah will wrestle Lamonte Chapman of Fremont Ross for the Division One State Championship. Entering Saturday’s match, Noah has a season record of 39-1. Chapman is 36-6.

Joey Baughman will be up against Kyle Lawson from Powell Olentangy Liberty for the 160-pound Championship. Currently, Joey has a record of 42-6. Lawson’s record is 36-1.

Also still alive for the Grizzlies is Alex Jones at 170 pounds. Jones lost his first match at the state tournament. But, Alex has won two straight in the consolation bracket. With wins in his two scheduled matches on Saturday, Jones could finish as high as third at 170.

In the team standings, Wadsworth stands in 7th place with 50 points. Lakewood St. Edward is in first with 120 points.
