The LCADA Way has been working with the Medina County Drug Abuse Commission (MCDAC) and city of Wadsworth to open the wellness center on the Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital campus.

“They detox at St. Thomas, Rosary Hall, Stella Maris, Cleveland Clinic. Wherever we can get them in, we’ll get them in,” explained Tim Smith with the LCADA Way. “We’ll have our physician do a medical evaluation on them and risk assessment for medical needs before we make a determination of what level (rehab) they’re going to need so they receive a correct recommendation.”

LCADA Way is currently seeking funding from MCDAC for this facility.

Smith made the announcement at the Wadsworth Drug Free Community Coalition meeting on April 28.

A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for July.
