Wadsworth police sent a news release out on April 25 stating teacher Robert Bodjanac, 46, of Wadsworth was arrested following a nearly month-long investigation.
On March 27, Wadsworth Middle School staff contacted the School Resource Officer about “a disclosure of inappropriate contact that Bodjanac had with a middle school student.”
An investigation immediately was launched during which time the district placed Bodjanac on administrative leave.
“Over the course of the investigation, officers worked to gather evidence and, in doing so, learned of additional incidents involving Bodjanac and other students,” Chief Dan Chafin said in the news release.
Currently, Bodjanac is charged with three counts of sexual imposition, misdemeanors of the third degree, for actions involving three female middle school students. He was arraigned in Wadsworth Municipal Court where he entered pleas of not guilty. He was released on a bond of $1,500.00.
If convicted, Bodjanac faces a maximum penalty of 60 days in jail and a fine up to $250 on each count.
Students who may have additional information are also encouraged to speak to school staff or counselors.
“We contacted the parent/guardian(s) of the students involved in the situation. Since March 27, we have worked closely with the Wadsworth Police Department as their investigation continues. At this time, Mr. Bodjanac remains on administrative leave, which means he will not be on Wadsworth City School District property,” superintendent Dr. Andy Hill said.
Anyone with information relevant to the investigation can contact the Wadsworth Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-336-2405.
The investigation remains ongoing.
