The contractor working on Phase III of the Memorial Park north improvement project is set to resume work this week (Jan. 29, 2025). This phase includes the reconstruction of the entrance drive off of Grandview Ave., reconfiguration of the northern portion of the city’s “stadium lot”, adjacent to the new playground, plus construction of a new connector roadway between this lot and a new lot that will be located south of the new fire station.

Other work that will be completed in this phase includes an interconnecting sidewalk network between the new playground, new pavilions, new splash pad, new restroom buildings and safety town.

If you visit Memorial Park during this next phase of construction, the City of Wadsworth says work limits require the immediate closure of the new playground and the Memorial Park courts.

In addition, the city parking lot and entrance drive off Grandview, which serves the courts, playground, and stadium — will remain closed for several months during construction.
