More than a week after their corgi, Bradley, went missing, a Wadsworth family says new details have only deepened the mystery, and strengthened their belief that he may have been taken.
Bradley disappeared the evening of Dec. 30 after being let outside briefly. That same night, his family followed his paw prints in the snow from their sidewalk to the edge of Reimer Road, where the tracks stopped abruptly at a guard rail.
“The prints did not turn back,” Karen Eckstine said. “And there was no second set of prints, as there would be if he were being chased.”
Police were called that evening and conducted a heat-drone search of the area, finding no sign of Bradley or his tracks. Two additional drone searches in the days that followed also turned up nothing.
The family says they were initially told it’s not uncommon to see no signs in the first 48 hours after a pet goes missing. But after weeks without sightings, and no evidence in nearby woods or roadways, they’ve begun to believe someone may have picked Bradley up.
They’ve remained in contact with Bradley’s rescue organization, which they say also leans toward that possibility.
“There is no body to be seen,” the family said. “It’s like he just disappeared. I can’t say with certainty what happened, only that he’s gone.”
Despite the heartbreak, the family says they’re grateful for the outpouring of support from the Wadsworth community and beyond. Their message remains the same: if someone has Bradley, they just want him home, no questions asked.
The family is offering a $1,000 reward for his safe return home. You can reach the family at 330-388-6928.
