As Winter Storm Fern tapers off, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has released some statistics about the storm.

Since the storm began Saturday night, troopers have responded to hundreds of incidents statewide, including 304 property-damage crashes, 23 injury crashes, and one fatal crash. Authorities also report helping with 1,090 disabled vehicles and four blood relay assists. A blood relay assist means troopers helped ensure life-saving blood reached hospitals despite hazardous road conditions.

Officials remind drivers even as snowfall slows, lingering ice and reduced visibility can still make driving treacherous.
