A local fundraiser this weekend will help support an international golf tournament coming to Wadsworth this summer.
The American Blind Golf Annual Reverse Raffle is set for Saturday, March 7 at the Blue Heron Event Center in Medina. Proceeds from the event will support the Phoenix Cup, an international golf tournament that brings together athletes with various disabilities from around the world.
This year’s 32nd Phoenix Cup will be held at Pine Valley Golf Club in June, bringing elite adaptive golfers to the region for the international competition.
Organizers say the reverse raffle fundraiser will feature dinner, prizes and a grand prize drawing of $2,500.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with salad served at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., and the raffle beginning at 7:30 p.m. The dinner menu includes braised beef ribs and chicken marsala, along with salad and dessert.
Tickets are $100 per person or $800 for a table of 10, and include dinner, beverages and a raffle ticket.
