Cleveland Clinic has once again been recognized as one of the nation’s premier hospitals.

U.S. News & World Report named Cleveland Clinic to its 2026-2027 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, marking the 36th consecutive year the health system has earned one of the publication’s highest distinctions. Only 20 hospitals nationwide made this year’s Honor Roll.

The hospital is ranked No. 1 in Ohio and was nationally ranked in 13 of 14 adult specialties, including five that placed in the nation’s top 10. Cleveland Clinic also received “High Performing” ratings in 20 adult procedures and conditions.

Northeast Ohio also fared well in the statewide rankings. Akron General was named the No. 1 hospital in the Akron metro area, while Fairview Hospital tied for third and Hillcrest Hospital ranked fifth statewide.

Ohio-specific specialty rankings also placed Cleveland Clinic No. 1 in the state for cancer care, cardiology and heart surgery, and orthopedics, with a No. 2 ranking in rehabilitation.

U.S. News evaluates nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide, measuring patient outcomes, safety, complications and patient experience to determine the annual rankings.
