The City of Hudson is honoring a longtime crossing guard who spent more than five decades helping local children get safely to and from school.
A new honorary street sign, “Clark’s Corner,” will be dedicated Oct. 9, at the intersection of North Hayden Parkway and Victoria Parkway in memory of Clark Rumiser.
Rumiser served as a Hudson crossing guard for 53 years and spent the final 26 years of his service stationed at that intersection, which he affectionately called “his corner.”
Rumiser, a Korean War veteran, died Aug. 4 at the age of 96.
Hudson City Council officially designated the intersection as “Clark’s Corner” in August.
Mayor Jeffrey Anzevino is expected to offer brief remarks during today’s dedication before joining members of Rumiser’s family to unveil the new sign.
