When you’re sick and have to go to the hospital, you hope you’ll receive the best care in the world, and if you live in Massachusetts you just may be getting it.
According to “U.S. News and World Report,” Massachusetts General Hospital is the Best Hospital in America. The hospital was number one on the mag’s Honor Roll list, with all facilities in the Top Ten ranking at or near the top in six or more of 16 specialties. They were also rated based on patient volume, risk-adjusted survival rates and adequacy of nurse staffing, as well as other care-related indicators.
As for specific conditions, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is number one for cancer care, while the Cleveland Clinic is tops in cardiology and heart surgery and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York is the best for orthopedics.
