More than three weeks have passed since a 67-year-old Copley man disappeared, and his family is renewing its plea for help finding him.

Dr. Frank J. Feher has not been seen since July 27, when he was last seen leaving his residence on South Hametown Road in Copley at approximately 5 p.m.

Feher’s sister recently shared an updated appeal, saying the family remains unsure of his whereabouts or whether he may have attempted to travel back to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he grew up.

She also thanked Copley detectives for their continued efforts to locate her brother, along with neighbors who have supported the family during the search.

Feher is 67 years old, 6’2″ tall and approximately 178 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. His family says he has Alzheimer’s disease.

Feher is a longtime scientist and chemist who previously served as a professor and vice chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of California, Irvine. He later worked at the Goodyear Innovation Center in Akron.

His family is asking people throughout Copley, Akron, Norton and northeast Ohio, as well as those in the Bucks County, Pennsylvania area, to remain on the lookout.

Anyone with information about Feher’s whereabouts should call 911 or the Summit Emergency Communications Center at 330-983-0275.
