GoFundMe campaign started for The Sub Station restaurant in Wadsworth – Wadsworth Community Radio

Wadsworth Community Radio

SUB STATION FIREWadsworth resident Scott Zander has started a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money for The Sub Station to rebuild.  The historic downtown restaurant went up in flames on March 16 shortly after 11 p.m. Damage was extensive but a cause has yet to be determined.

So far, 28 people have pledged their support via the GoFundMe campaign, which you can see here: http://www.gofundme.com/pgswgw. In just 2 days, the site has raised more than $1,300 for The Sub Station.

Donors are thanking Zander for creating the campaign noting, “a community that works together stays together.”

The funding goal is $100,000 as The Sub Station did not have insurance.

Zander says even if they can’t reopen, at least the funds raised “will help them in their time of need.”

Owners of The Sub Station posted a long note on their Facebook page (http://tinyurl.com/nvqdcdw) thanking firefighters and the community for all of the support. “I do have to say that we are putting this into God’s hands and hoping He will guide us through this very trying time. We know his plan is for the best and we will pray for patience while His plan plays out.”
