It was a busy weekend for all Wadsworth High School athletic teams.
The Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies continue undefeated in the Suburban League thanks to their 50-11 win over North Royalton on Saturday afternoon. Wadsworth is 10-0 in the National Conference of the Suburban League and 14-3 overall. E’Anna Won led the Lady Grizzlies with 18 points.
The Wadsworth Boys basketball team led a six-point lead at halftime slip away and lost to Ellet 67-50. Brendan Merhar led the Grizzlies with 11 points, including three three-pointers.
The Wadsworth Wrestling team finished second out of 16 teams in the Grizzly Invitational Tournament. St. Paris Graham won the tournament. The Grizzlies had three individual champions, Luke Baughman at 138, Michael North at 145 and Dom Loparo at 170.
The Wadsworth Boys Bowling team finished 8th out of 24 teams in the Hilliard-Bradley Baker Tournament held in Columbus. The Girls team finished 14th out of 22 teams.
The Wadsworth Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving team lost their dual meet to Brecksville-Broadview Heights on Saturday.
The Wadsworth Gymnastics team participated in the Suburban League Championship meet and finished fourth out of eight teams.
