Grizzlies Number 2 in AP and OHSAA Ratings – Wadsworth Community Radio

This week’s Ohio Associated Press Division 2 High School Football Poll and the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s computer rankings have been released.

Wadsworth is second in the statewide AP Poll and in Region 2 Division 6, the Grizzlies remain second. Wadsworth moved up one spot in the AP Poll this week and now stands at number two statewide.

In the Number One spot is Avon, with 18 first place votes and a 9-0 record. The Grizzlies received just one first-place vote and has an 9-0 record. Cincinnati Winton Woods is third, Barberton is fourth and Akron Hoban is fifth.

In the OHSAA Computer ranking in Division 2 Region 6, Avon is first, Wadsworth is second, Olmsted Falls is third, Highland is fourth, Anthony Wayne is 5th, Midview is 6th, Sylvania Northview is 7th and Fremont Ross is 8th.

If the OHSAA Playoffs began today, the Grizzlies would have a home game in the first round and would play Sylvania Northview.
