Grizzlies On The Gridiron – Wadsworth Community Radio

Wadsworth Community Radio

The Wadsworth Grizzlies went through a pair of seven-on-seven drills last week in preparation for the start of training camp for the 2018 season. On July 10th, the Grizzlies practiced against Hoban and Copley. On Saturday the 14th, the Grizzlies were on the practice field against Brunswick.

These drills were crucial for the Grizzlies offense. Losing a number of skilled position players on offense because of graduation, players without much experience are being called upon to step up. But, Grizzlies head coach Justin Todd is confident that the offense will do the job. One player who is returning on offense will be running back Brock Snowball.

On defense, the Grizzlies return all four players in the defensive backfield and the linebacking corps.

Practice begins on July 30th. The first Wadsworth football game takes place on Friday August 24th against Akron Firestone.
