Grizzlies Relay Team State Champs – Wadsworth Community Radio

The Wadsworth Boys 4 X 800 relay team are Division One State Champs. At the Ohio High School Athletic Association State meet in Columbus, the Grizzlies outdistanced 15 other teams to win the State Championship.

The team of senior Josiah Sovine, senior Nick Miller, junior Kai Wagner and senior Gabe Szalay finished the race in 7:39:05. The Grizzlies finished five seconds ahead of second place finisher Brecksville-Broadview Heights.

The relay team had quite a season. The team won the Suburban League Championship. They also ran in the Championship of America 4 X 800 relay race at the Penn Relays in late April.
