Cleveland Clinic has received a $25 million investment from longtime supporters Dee and Jimmy Haslam.

The health system says the funding will support patient care, medical research and education while helping Cleveland Clinic expand access to healthcare in northeast Ohio and communities across the country.

Cleveland Clinic President and CEO Dr. Tom Mihaljevic said the Haslams’ support has helped strengthen patient care, advance innovation and fund major initiatives throughout the organization.

The family has previously supported cardiovascular genetics research at Cleveland Clinic, including the creation of the Haslam Family Section for Cardiovascular Genetics and an endowed chair in cardiovascular medicine. Cleveland Clinic says that funding has helped expand genetic testing, scientific research and efforts to improve patient outcomes.

Dee and Jimmy Haslam said they believe in Cleveland Clinic’s commitment to providing quality healthcare and increasing access in northeast Ohio and beyond.
