Heritage Ohio’s Downtown Assessment Resource Team (D.A.R.T.) is coming to town on May 28 and 29. The visit is one of the stepping stones in Wadsworth becoming an Ohio Main Street community.
The D.A.R.T. visit will give the city and its leaders a solid business management plan to the downtown revitalization process. It will help local leaders get a vision for introducing the community to the basic building blocks of a comprehensive long-term program through a specific four-point approach: operations, marketing, design, business enhancement.
In preparation for the visit, Wadsworth completed a “Community Assessment Checklist.” It gives D.A.R.T. team members a current snapshot of the state of downtown.
D.A.R.T. members will get a tour of the city on Friday, meet with local activists and review the training session agenda.
Wadsworth was selected recently into the Main Street Program and is one of only 21 cities to receive the distinction in all of Ohio.
