Some of the world’s most talented adaptive golfers are coming to Wadsworth next week, and the community is invited to be part of something truly special.

The Phoenix Cup Ohio 2026 will take place June 16-19 at Pine Valley Golf Club, bringing together elite adaptive golfers from around the globe for an international Ryder Cup-style competition featuring Team USA versus Team Europe.

The event showcases athletes with physical disabilities competing at the highest level of the sport, combining world-class golf with stories of perseverance, determination, and resilience.

Organizers are encouraging residents to attend free of charge and help fill the grandstands throughout the week.

“This isn’t just a golf tournament,” organizers said. “It’s an opportunity to witness extraordinary athletes doing extraordinary things. The competition is incredible, but it’s also the stories behind these athletes that make the Phoenix Cup such a powerful experience.”

Spectators can expect dramatic match-play competition, unforgettable moments, and countless opportunities to watch some of the best adaptive golfers in the world up close. The event also offers outstanding photo and video opportunities for sports fans, photographers, and media members.

The competition runs June 16-18, with the week concluding on Friday, June 19, with a Charity Scramble that pairs local golfers with adaptive athletes for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Whether you’re a golfer, sports fan, or simply looking for an inspiring event to attend, organizers say the Phoenix Cup promises to be one of the most memorable sporting events to visit this summer.
