The Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies wrapped up another undefeated season in the Suburban League last night as they defeated Nordonia 57-35 in a game played at Nordonia High School.
Wadsworth jumped out on top at the end of the first quarter to lead the Knights 17-9. At halftime, the Lady Grizzlies extended the lead to 16 at 32-16.
In the second half, it was more of the same for Wadsworth as they outscored Nordonia 9-6 in the third quarter and 16-13 in the fourth quarter.
Wadsworth finishes 14-0 in the Suburban League. The Lady Grizzlies have an overall record of 20-1 with one regular season game to play.
Nordonia finishes the Suburban League with a record of 11-3. The Knights end the regular season with a 19-3 record. Two of their three losses were to Wadsworth.
Senior Jodi Johnson led the Lady Grizzlies with 16 points. Sophomore center Lexi Lance added 10 points.
The final regular season home game for Wadsworth is on Saturday night at Wadsworth High School gym against the Solon Comets.
