The Wadsworth Lay Grizzlies Basketball team earned at least a share of the Suburban League’s National Conference Championship thank to a 47-27 win over Hudson Wednesday night at Wadsworth High School.
The Lady Grizzlies finished 13-1 in the Suburban League. Wadsworth has the same number of losses in the League as Stow-Munroe Falls.
Once again it was string defense that led the Lady Grizzlies to the win. Wadsworth led at the end of the first quarter 17-2. The Lady Grizzlies held Hudson without a basket for 14 minutes in the first half.
E’Anna Won led Wadsworth in scoring with 13 points. Kylie Batey added 9 points. The Lady Grizzlies overall record is 18 wins and 3 losses.
