The Lady Grizzlies won their second consecutive game to start the 2019-2020 season and Coach Andrew Booth won his 300th game on the Wadsworth sideline in a 52-46 triumph over Hudson Saturday night at Wadsworth High School.

Wadsworth’s two most experienced players led the team in the second half to get the victory.

Junior guard Maggie Long led Wadsworth with 19 points. Long hit four three-point baskets in the game. Senior Taylor Leatherman had 15 points, 11 of those were in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Grizzlies led after one quarter 12-3. But, Hudson rallies to tie the score at halftime 18-18. Wadsworth grabbed a 35-30 lead at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Grizzlies rallied after being down 46-45 midway through the final quarter to get the win by scoring the last seven points of the game.

Booth’s record in 15 seasons as head coach of the Lady Grizzlies at Wadsworth High School is 300-64.
