tax formIf you’re among the tax filing procrastinators, you may find these last minute tax filing tips helpful.

Tom Stephens with Liberty Tax Service says if you aren’t going to be able to file on time, make sure to request an extension.

He also reminded folks who will be receiving money back that missing the April 15 deadline will not impact you. Although you will want to file within three years to get the cash back in the form of a check.

But if you owe Uncle Sam, “you’ll want to pay something or face penalties.”

Want your refund faster? Choose to e-file and have the refund go directly into your bank account. Doing so will get your money in the bank in half the amount of time as choosing to file the old fashioned snail mail way.
