Malone University says it will provide transfer support to students impacted by the upcoming closure of Lourdes University in Sylvania at the end of this academic year.
Malone is offering automatic acceptance to Lourdes transfer students and will match their current financial aid packages so costs do not exceed what they were paying at Lourdes. Athletic scholarships, room and board, and fees are not included.
University leaders say their goal is to provide academic continuity and a Christ-centered community during the transition. Malone is awaiting official word regarding Lourdes’ teachout institution status but says it is prepared to help students move forward.
Walsh University has also announced it will assist Lourdes students exploring transfer options.
