A learning community where students focus on advanced career technical training and academic excellence for life-long success. That’s the goal at the Medina County Career Center.
MCCC offers career development programs, accredited post-secondary education and leads to gainful employment., including a variety of certification classes: medical assisting, dental assisting and HVAC.
“Not only do they get certification from school, we also set them up with full-time programs to receive a license in that program,” explained Tracy Rudisil with MCCC. “For example, dental assistants will get set up to take the dental assistant exam in Ohio. We want them to receive that license to go out and practice.”
Students may be eligible for grants which is applied toward tuition. “Tuition rates are a great value for what they’re walking away with,” Rudisil continued.
One area where MCCC sees huge employment success: medical assisting. “Students have had high employment/job placement rates in medical assisting,” said Rudisil.
MCCC also offers online courses.
You can call and schedule a time to come and visit the Medina County Career Center if you’re unsure of your career path. A $250 discount on tuition is now being offered for classes to those who register before May 29.
