Wadsworth Community Radio was first to tell you in mid-June about a Michaels craft store coming to town. We now know a few more details!
“We expect to open in the Fall, but unfortunately I can’t be more specific than that. I’m sure you understand how fluid construction dates can be,” said Rachel Petersen, head of corporate and product communications for Michaels.
Petersen explained why Wadsworth was chosen for a store location.
“We chose Wadsworth based on the opportunity to bring Michaels closer to our customers. We know it’s a community of Makers, teachers, parents, and creatives who will find the inspiration and supplies they need in our new store.”
Once the store is closer to opening its doors, there will be a Grand Opening celebration.
We are still waiting to hear the number of new jobs the store will create.
Michaels will be located in the Target plaza on Williams Reserve Blvd. in Wadsworth.
