State Route 57 in the Wadsworth-Medina area has seen plenty of road work during the spring and summer months of 2015.
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced yet another road project on 57 in Medina County. The District 3 office of ODOT reports State Route 57 between the cities of Wadsworth and Medina will be repaved between now and September 30th.
State Route 57 will be reduced to one lane of traffic during the resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers when work crews are on the job.
Earlier this year, there were a number of culvert replacement projects on Route 57 in the city of Wadsworth in preparation for this repaving project. Most of that work took place between the State Route 57 and Interstate 76 interchange and Blake Road during the months of April and May.
In nearby Rittman, there is a bridge improvement project underway on State Route 57, between Milton and Sheets Roads. Two-way traffic is being maintained in that area with the help of a temporary traffic signal. Work on that project is expected to be completed by July 31st.
And if that’s not enough, there’s more work taking place on 57 in York Township, near the intersection with State Route 252 and Spieth Road and in the city of Elyria.
