Buc-ee’s first location in Ohio opened Monday (April 6) in Huber Heights, just outside of Dayton. And yes, the doors never close.
Big crowds showed up early for the debut of the massive travel center, which features more than 100 gas pumps and a roughly 74,000-square-foot store. Some fans even camped out overnight to be first in line.
From brisket sandwiches to Beaver Nuggets and famously spotless bathrooms, Buc-ee’s is more than a pit stop; it’s an experience. And not a quick one, either: the average visit runs about 30 minutes or more.
City leaders say the Texas-based chain is expected to bring hundreds of jobs and a steady flow of travelers as it expands into the Midwest. Several more stores are slated to open this year or next in Wisconsin, Kansas, Kentucky and Arkansas.
