“This is really for our benefit too. We want to see this animals again and say hello to them and greet them and see how happy they are in their home,” said Shannon Waller, executive director of the SPCA.

The pet picnic is being held from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Medina VFW Post on Pearl Road.

“We ask pet owners to also bring photos of their pets if they aren’t able to bring them with them so we can make a big collage with all of the rescue animals with their happily ever after homes,” Waller said.

Leashed dogs are welcome to attend the event with their owner. Cats and other rescue animals are happily welcomed in photo form for the picnic.

Tickets are $15/each or $40 for a family.
