The Ohio Department of Health is warning of a possible measles exposure at John Glenn International Airport on February 18 between 6 and 9 p.m.

Health officials say anyone who was at the airport during that time and is fully vaccinated has a very low risk of getting sick. Two doses of the MMR vaccine are about 97 percent effective.

Those who are not vaccinated should monitor for symptoms through March 11. Symptoms include high fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash that typically begins at the hairline and moves down the body.

If symptoms develop, health officials urge people to stay home and call their healthcare provider before seeking in-person care.

There have been six measles cases identified in Franklin County this month and nine cases statewide so far in 2026.
