Thinking about proposing? You might not need a fancy restaurant after all.

A new survey finds many Ohio men believe fast food chains are actually great places to pop the question, with Chick-fil-A topping the list. Dairy Queen and McDonald’s also ranked high, suggesting comfort, familiarity, and a low-pressure setting may play a bigger role than white tablecloths.

The idea might sound surprising, but it’s catching on. Nearly 7 in 10 men surveyed said the setting of a proposal can influence the outcome, and with rising costs, more are open to budget-friendly options.

And here’s the twist: women aren’t totally against it. Many said a fast-food proposal would be funny, memorable, or even romantic, with only a small percentage calling it embarrassing.

Bottom line? Love might not need a five-star restaurant, sometimes it just needs the right moment… and maybe a side of fries.
