JARROD KALLISThe Wadsworth Police Department made an arrest on Friday in connection with an armed robbery that took place Tuesday night at the Speedway Gas Station at 1140 Akron Rd.

Wadsworth detectives, with assistance from the Medina County Sheriff’s Department and the Westfield Center Police Department, arrested 35-year-old Jarrod Kallis at his apartment on Greenwich Road in Westfield Center.

Kallis has been charged with a felony count of armed robbery and is currently being held in the Medina County Jail pending his arraignment.

Officials from the Wadsworth Police Department thanked local news media and the public for the wide dissemination of the surveillance photos that led to the suspect’s identity. Police said that led to the quick arrest of Kallis, who they describe as “a dangerous suspect.”
