SUB STATION FIREThe State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate the cause of a late Monday night fire in Downtown Wadsworth at The Sub Station, located at 126 Main Street.

Wadsworth Fire officials say the flames broke out around 11 p.m. Monday. When firefighters arrived to the scene, they saw smoke and flames coming from inside the eatery.

Fire units from Sharon Township, Norton, Rittman, Copley, Doylestown and Seville-Guilford all assisted Wadsworth firefighters in battling the flames.

There were no injuries to firefighters.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.

A cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
