Second Lady Usha Vance is inviting students across the country to get creative for America’s 250th birthday.
In partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, she’s launching a Bookmark Design Challenge for students in grades K-8. Kids are encouraged to create an original, hand-drawn bookmark showing what America means to them, whether that’s history, unity, community, or hopes for the future.
Three national winners, one from each grade group, will have their designs featured during 2026 anniversary celebrations and will be invited to Washington, D.C., next summer with a parent or guardian.
Entries are due March 31. Details are available at arts.gov/bookmarks.
