The Medina County Veterans Service Office is hoping to get the ball rolling on an expansion of their facilities in 2024.

“With the numbers we’ve had coming through the door over the last 5, 6, 7 years, we need more people to do the work,” said agency head Ed Zachary. “We will have two more offices, another working room, an expanded waiting room and then a garage for our vehicles so they don’t have to stay out in the winter months.”

It’s expected the project will go out for bids the first week of the new year.

“With that said, we will move out of this building for a temporary period of time, but I’m not sure where that location will be. We will be advertising and putting out on social media and our website where we will be locating for, hopefully, not too long a period of time,” Zachary explained.

The new facility will also include a community room for their programs. We will keep you updated on the expansion project as more information becomes available.
