If you like traveling to exotic locations, it’s time for you to start planning your next vacation and TripAdvisor knows just where you should go.
Marrakesh in Morocco was named the top travel destination in the world, followed by Siem Reap in Cambodia, and Istanbul, Turkey.
The Moroccan city, known as the “Red City,” jumped up five places to land at the top spot this year, followed by Cambodia’s Siem Reap, and Istanbul, Turkey, which was number one last year. Other destinations making the Top Ten include: Hanoi, Vietnam; Prague, Czech Republic; London, England; Rome, Italy; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Paris, France and Cape Town, South Africa.
But if Morocco sounds a bit too much of an adventure for you, there are certainly great places to visit in the U.S. Just like last year, New York landed on top for the best place to visit in America, followed by Chicago at number two, again for the second year. New to the Top Ten this year is Charleston, South Carolina, which landed at number three, followed by Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington, DC, New Orleans, Palm Springs and San Diego.
The popular travel website’s annual Traveler’s Choice Awards is based on feedback from their users around the globe.
