UnWined in Wadsworth is being sold. Current owners Ericha Fryfogle-Joy and Ernie Joy, in a Facebook post, said, “Ernie and I need to exhale and with two businesses and other life demands we are fried.”

UnWined, located at 132 Main Street, is a wine, bourbon, spirits and cocktail lounge offering cocktails, spirits, & wines by the bottle, glass and on tap, along with a few food menu items.

Fryfogle-Joy said they are “thrilled this is happening” and plans to sell UnWined began to take shape early in the summer.

“We started plans with these two gals to sell them UnWined (in June). They are planning to keep a lot of it, expand the food menu, make plans for more special events, and take it to the next level that we simply did not have the time to do. We are hoping to pass the ‘bottle’ to them September 1st.”

Roni Vance Kemmerer and Amanda Cranston, both of Wadsworth, will be the new owners.

“We have both loved patronizing this local and popular downtown spot where so many people from the community and surrounding areas come to mingle, share in fun times, great wine & specialty drinks! We want the community to come and celebrate with us during our ‘grand re-opening’ which will be announced soon!” Kemmerer said in a social media post.

The women have been friends for more than 12 years and plan to “rename” the establishment Unwined Main Street.

As more details on the grand re-opening come about, we will share them with you!

Ericha and Ernie also own and operate Wadsworth Brewing Company in downtown Wadsworth. They are not planning to sell the brewery.
