In a pregame ceremony on Saturday, the Wadsworth Lady Grizzlies basketball team presented a check to Akron Children’s Hospital Spina Bifida Fund in the amount of $13,587.
The team and coaches raised the funds during their two-day Wadsworth Believe Roundball Classic tournament.
It’s only the second year for the fundraiser which is held between Christmas and New Year’s at Wadsworth High School.
