What a night for the Wadsworth Grizzlies football team! They powered past Solon 50–21 Friday to cap off a perfect 10-0 regular season — claiming the Suburban League National Conference Championship outright!

It’s a historic win for the program, marking Wadsworth’s sixth undefeated regular season in 113 years of football, and their third straight conference title. The last time the Grizzlies went unbeaten was back in 2018, making this season one for the record books.

Next up: the OHSAA playoffs. Wadsworth is expected to earn a top seed in Div. II, Region 6, and will host their first postseason game at home. The official playoff brackets and first-round matchups will be announced Sunday, Oct. 26, with opening games set for Friday, Oct. 31.

Fans and players alike are fired up. As one longtime Grizzly supporter put it: “This is a season that’ll be talked about for decades.”

Final Score Friday night: Wadsworth 50, Solon 21
Record: 10-0  |  Suburban League National Conference Champions!!!
