The Wadsworth Police Department and Crime Stoppers are still searching for clues in the death of Iron Jailen Cannon, 27, who was last seen October 18 in Wadsworth.

Wadsworth police say they have received more than 60 phone calls about the case in recent weeks and have executed a number of search warrants.

A cash reward of up to $2,500 will be given to the person who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime.

“If a young man’s life was taken, we owe it to him and his family to prosecute and hold those accountable,” Sgt. Dan Chafin said in a phone interview with Wadsworth Community Radio. “There are people out there who know about this.”

An article in the Akron Beacon Journal from January 2021 gives more background on Cannon from his family’s perspective.

“As this story continues to get shared by word of mouth and by social media, more and more people have become aware of it. As that word spreads, it’s our hope that this information gets in front of the right person and allows them to see that they have a completely anonymous way of providing information to the WPD through Crime Stoppers,” Chafin said.

Tips can be anonymously submitted to Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463 or www.25crime.com.
