A 4-year-old boy reported missing in Wadsworth has been found safe.
According to Wadsworth Police, officers were called Friday afternoon by the child’s father, after the boy’s mother, Elizabeth George, 38, left their home unexpectedly with him.
During the investigation, police say they determined the child was in immediate danger and used the Flock license plate reader cameras to track George’s vehicle.
The child and his mother were found by North Ridgeville Police at a Sheetz on Lorain Road.
Police say the child was unharmed. George was taken into custody and is being held in the Medina County Jail on a charge of endangering children.
The husband said she was experiencing a mental health crisis and would never intentionally harm their child.
